Ludmila Kudenko explained that the Ukrainian consuls in Brazil, Argentina and the honorary consul of Bolivia intervened, but the couple was not able to enter Santa Cruz de la Sierra.
A Ukrainian couple arrived at the international airport of Santa Cruz, Viru Viru, seeking refuge from the war conflict in their country, but were returned early today to Argentina.
The couple had been invited by Ludmila Kudenko, who has lived in Bolivia since 1976. The trainer explained that the Ukrainian consuls in Brazil, Argentina and the honorary consul of Bolivia intervened, but the couple was not able to enter Santa Cruz de la Sierra.
"Unfortunately we found out that Bolivia declared itself neutral in the war conflict and unfortunately they could not enter Santa Cruz. With this situation, we Ukrainians living in Bolivia found out that our families will not be able to come to this land when they are away from their homes and have become migrants in Europe looking for a place to live," he said.
