The Plurinational Legislative Assembly approves the Regulations of the Ombudsman's Office

The Plurinational Legislative Assembly (ALP) approved this Tuesday the Regulations and the Call for the Selection and Appointment of the Ombudsman.

The document was previously agreed between the ruling party and the opposition, after the fights registered in the last session.

It is known that the Bancada de Creemos did not vote.

The president of the Constitution Commission of the Chamber of Senators, Rubén Gutiérrez (MAS), said before the session that on Thursday the reception of applicants for the Ombudsman's Office will begin.

"Once today is approved, tomorrow the regulations and the call will be published, and as of Thursday we would be starting with the reception of the postulations in a period of 15 days. From that moment on, we will begin the stage of review of the documents and the qualification, we will enter the stage of impugnation and so we will move forward until the conclusion of the whole process", informed Gutiérrez.
